Conference place

To go to the conference place use the bus 221 (circular journey) that starts behind the University (the bus stop behind the University is called ACADEMIA in front of the University is called PANEPISTIMIO and this makes a confusion) where will be having the conference and go out at OLAF PALME STREET (FITITIKI ESTIA or FEPA). The University Hall of ResidenceIt is the 8th stop that it is called OLAF PALME STREET (FITITIKI ESTIA or FEPA).

To go from OLAF PALME STREET (FITITIKI ESTIA or FEPA) take the bus 221 from the bus stop opposite the Hall of Residence.

Numismatic Museum

To go to the Numismatic Museum use bus 221 to SYNTAGMA ΣΥΝΤΑΓΜΑ or AKADEMIA ΑΚΑΔΕΜΙΑ (in front of the University)

National Archaeological Museum

To go to the National Archaeological Museum use metro OMONIA, bus 224, bus 608, BUS station MOUSIO ΜΟΥΣΕΙΟ on PATISION STREET, (ΠΑΤΗΣΙΩΝ), other Passing Lines: 622 ,Α8 ,Β8 and as bus stop POLYTECHNIO buses or troleybusses 3 ,6 ,8 ,13 ,022 ,054 ,224 ,622 ,Α7.

How to come from the airpot to Athens and your hotel and how to return

How to come from the airpot to Athens and your hotel and how to return

Taxis (ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT – “APODIXI” n Greek, in case we need the taxi later, if we leave something thereo r we believe that he has overcharged etc.)

Taxis are available between Exit 2 and Exit 3 at the arrival level.

You should get in the queue and when your turn comes, the policeman in charge for the queue will signal you to get into the next available taxi.

The fare from Athens airport to Athens centre is fixed:

- Day time (05:00-24:00) 35 €

- Night time (24:00-05:00) 50 €

The price includes everything. Luggagecharge, tolls fee, VAT, meter start, airportcharge etc.

So, you don't have to pay anything more than the above. Still the taxi driver has to start the meter in case you decide to change destination and your drop-up point is not in Athens centre. The same fixed fares apply when you pick a taxi from Athens centre to go to the airport.

I think reduced tickets are for the young, students and people over 65 years old

BUS tickets are sold at the info/ticket-kiosk (located outside the Arrivals between Exits 4 and 5), or onboard (ask operator) at no extra cost. Get off at ILISIA (MEGARO MOUSIKIS) and then take a taxi. It normally costs 3.5 to 4 euros (after midnight is more expensive).

Athens airport by metro

Athens Metro connects the airport with main places in Athens including Syntagma and Monastiraki (blue line, metro map). The trip from Airport to Monastiraki take 40 minutes. You can further change metro line to go up to Piraeus port or elsewhere.

The metro departs from the airport every 30' min (05' and 35' from 6:35 to 23:35).

Ticket cost

• One-way ticket for one person: 8.00 €

• Return ticket for one person: 14.00 €

• One-way ticket for 2 persons: 14.00 €

• One-way ticket for 3 persons: 20.00 €

• One-way half price tickets (students younger than 25, youngsters 6-18, people older than 65+):4.00 €

The address is FEPA, Oulof Palme, ILISIA

OULOF PALME street number 12, Panepistimiopoli, Ilisia.

Use the bus X95 to SYNTAGMA and get off at ILISIA (METRO STATION MEGARO MOUSIKIS). Then take a taxi. It will cost from 3.5 to 4 euros. They might ask for 0,50 to 1.50 or so euros for the luggage.
